Our Story

IMG_1835.JPG

We’re thrilled to introduce ourselves, the Hackett family, who had the privilege of purchasing Manor Farm, Sheldon in 2017. Having lived in suburban Nottingham for 26 years where we happily raised our 3 children, it’s safe to say that our move to a sheep farm in the heart of the Peak District was not something we ever envisaged or dreamed of.

Before long we had obtained planning permission for the conversion of a courtyard full of original disused stone barns steeped in history and original features. Over the course of the following 18 months, these were converted into 4 luxury distinctly unique bolt holes.

Alongside this, we took up the challenge of becoming farmers, learning from scratch to care for sheep, chickens and pigs.

Perched at the top of the idyllic quiet farming village of Sheldon overlooking uninterrupted views of the spectacular Peak District countryside, we pinch ourselves every day that we live here. Since opening in April 2019 we are pleased to say we have received nothing but 5* reviews and love welcoming guests to share this hidden gem with us.

If you would like to make a booking, please contact us - we’d be thrilled to hear from you.
